Train Vehicle Operators:
- Start slow and stop without spinning wheels

- Lift, not drag, loads and pallets
- Secure objects to reduce dropping objects on floor
- Limit outside vehicle traffic from driving onto coated areas
- Park aircraft and over-the-road vehicles on wheel pads or on non-coated
floors
- Install non-marking tires on vehicles
- Lubricate free wheeling vehicle wheels to eliminate skidding
- Repair vehicle fluid leaks
- Clean Dirt and Debris from vehicle wheels frequently
Routine Floor Maintenance:
- Pick-up spills immediately- Spills may soften , strip, discolor
coatings: create slip hazard
- Sweep outside entrances daily- Prevents sand and debris from damaging
coatings
- Sweep inside traffic and debris producing areas daily- Prevents sand and
debris from damaging coatings
- Scrub Traffic areas daily- Reduces coating wear and improves gloss
- Sweep and Scrub low traffic areas weekly- Reduces coating wear improves
gloss
- Inspect coatings for wear, recoat before worn through to bare concrete
annually- Recoating before wear through improves appearance and saves money
over time
Brush Selection:
- Use natural fiber or nylon sweeping brushes (Do not use fiber and wire,
poly and wire or crinkle wire)
- Use soft nylon or stiff nylon scrubbing brushes (Do not use
polypropylene and abrasive, abrasive, super abrasive or wire)
- Use white red or blue scrubbing pads (do not use brown or black)

synthetic oils
